From KABIA to KAVHIA project
IES Hernani BHI Secondary school started with this new project called KABIA in the year 2015-2016. KABIA is a school integrated project for teacher training on new technologies.
Based on this project, and after having completed some other training at school, we applied for an ERASMUS+ KA1 training project to be able to observe good practices in other schools abroad.
We were especially interested in the Finnish education system and the key to its success.
OBJECTIVES:
- Observe the Finnish education system and analyse those aspects which could be integrated or adapted to our school.
- Observe “Good Practices” on methodology and analyse those aspects which could be applied in our school.
- Observe and see the functioning, management and facilities in some Finnish schools and analyse how to improve our school.
For this purpose, 8 teachers from Hernani BHI Secondary school went from the 8th to the 15th October 2016 to the towns of Tikkurila and Rihimäki. We used two different experiences to get a wider vision and make the best of it:
- In Tikkurila: 4 teachers took a course on “Best Practices Benchmarking” and visited 2 schools, one of them was an Upper Secondary School and the other one was a Professional Training centre.
- In Rihimäki: 4 teachers went to see and observe 3 different secondary schools. This experience were based on “Job Shadowing” .s
These are the participating teachers:
Gorka Lete, Kristina Iraola, Amaia Urzelai, Regina Adarraga, Karlos Sukuntza,
Ohiane Errazti, Dorleta Zangitu eta Mercedes Ortega.
